Job Summary: The position will assist our attorney by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; research, investigations, and fact checking.
Duties and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be a part of the Legal Department, and will work under the supervision and guidance of the International Legal Advisor, by supporting the following activities:
Researching and analyzing statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis.
Drafting legal documents including reviewing, negotiating, drafting and advising on the terms and conditions of a diverse range of contracts and agreements, and on termination of arrangements with clients, partners, and vendors.
Aiding in: (i) keeping the minutes of the proceedings of stockholders, Board of Directors, and committees of the company; (ii) custody corporate records and seal; and (iii) having charge of stock transfer books and issue certificates.
Liaising with intragroup international offices and giving advice on onboarding clients of Mexico and Canada, on data privacy (including GDPR), cyber security, and on intragroup servicing agreements.
Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.
Organizing, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
Developing, maintaining records, and reviewing hours spent by outside counsel on specific cases.
Performing other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required.
4 + years of relevant experience interchangeable for higher education.
Preferred Qualifications:
4-year Bachelor (BS) degree in Paralegal Studies or Bachelor of Science in Law (BSL).
Corporate and/or International legal studies.
Working knowledge of Spanish.
Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience. The annual salary range is $70,000 to $100,000.
