Position Description Monex USA is looking for Human Resources Manager to lead our HR Department. The primary function of the Human Resources Manager is to coordinate and oversee HR programs. In addition, the position works closely with executives and outside contractors in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities.
Responsibilities:
Set a strong vision for the Human Resources function at Monex USA and Monex Canada.
Develop a hiring plan for all departments extending out 12 months and adjust as needed with close coordination with department heads.
Work with in-house and outside recruiters to hire the best suited staff.
Manage an HR staff of appropriate size (currently 2-3 people), hiring and training replacements as needed.
Actively participate in building and maintaining a culture of success and growth, both personal and business, including multiple offices and remote employees (includes Monex USA and Monex Canada).
Coach department heads on the proper setting and maintaining of quarterly or semi-annual goals for each employee.
Take an active role in helping department heads track goals for individuals and remediate as needed with an aim to helping employees succeed.
Proactively and creatively manage employee retention and engagement.
Responsible for all aspects of Human Resources in the US and Canada: Hiring, Onboarding, Offboarding, Benefits, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Retention, Payroll, etc.
Assist with coordinating learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal engagement and development opportunities for employees.
Encourage management to create and update succession plans for all key roles.
Help populate, update, and optimize any HR-related internal and external (hiring/recruiting) materials and properties, both offline and digital.
Foster an environment of trust and inclusivity such that employees are confident in bringing issues to HR.
Work with outside contractors as needed in the following areas:
Keep policies and procedures and the employee handbook updated.
Update knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, and employment law.
Actively track trends in compensation and benefits and ensures competitive base and incentive pay programs to help attract and retain top talent for the company.
Take responsibility for Canadian and USA Payroll.
Exhibit a proactive approach in identifying team needs and challenges.
Ensure a culture of clear and transparent communication with task delegation for employees in order to foster collaboration and drive performance.
Proven experience in benefits administration, including a deep understanding of various employee benefits programs, along with hands-on expertise in mapping and configuring benefits within HRIS systems.
Overall consistency in each of the responsibilities listed above.

Bachelor’s Degree
SHRM-CP
8+ years of HR experience
5+ years of HR management experience
Excellent communications and decision-making skills
Excellent attention to detail and a sense of pride in your work
Experience handling multi-state payroll in the US plus Canada

Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience. The annual salary range is $130,000 to $150,000.
